Who says there's no such thing as a free ride?
A limited number of participants are currently needed for the upcoming pilot phase of AMORE. Pilot participants will have exclusive access to FREE transit-hailing service for the next three months in preparation for a full launch in September 2018. Residents living within the service area can apply to participate in the pilot program any time during the pilot phase (July through September).
Transit-hailing pairs the convenience and innovation of ride-hailing services with the affordability and community benefit of public transit. Trips are scheduled in advance through a smartphone app. A driver will be assigned to pick you up and take you to your destination, and if another passenger is found heading in the same direction, you may be paired up for the ride.
By providing feedback on their experiences during the pilot phase, participants will play a vital role in bringing these much-needed services to the community and contributing to the future of transportation in the region.
Here are some more details on the pilot program:
Drivers are all RubyRide employees who have undergone background checks and carry professional liability insurances.
Participants are asked to take anywhere from 4-10 trips per week (to and from work, for example, would count as 2 trips). All of these trips are free of charge.
By sharing your experiences through short online surveys and at times a follow-up interview, you'll help guide improvements before a full launch to the public in the fall.
Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available upon request.
